With being in Benidorm for the whole of October, I have decided to do the blogs week by week as we plan on chilling and won’t have a lot to write about 😊
This is the blog of our last 3 days in Benidorm staying on Arena Blanca. I cannot believe how quickly October has gone - we have met some lovely people here, and we have loved listening to their stories, and really hope we have the opportunity to see them all again.
We have now been travelling for 6 months !
On Tues 29th October, we met everyone at the local car boot / market and then enjoyed a cooked breakfast together. Chris and I then had a walk to the local shops afterwards, followed by a chilled afternoon.
Tonight 8 of us went for a Chinese - there was a new Motorhome couple we hadn’t met before, and we all got on so well and laughed all night. Afterwards we ended up in a bar we hadn’t been in before “DILLIGAF” (great name!). We had more drinks and sang group karaoke - such a great night !
On Weds 30th of Oct, we woke up feeling fragile, but nevertheless we caught the bus to Altea and then walked back along the seafront to Albir. We saw a couple of divers on the way, who had caught octopus and they were still wriggling on their spears.
Thurs 31st Oct Chris manages to catch the sunrise.

I then joined a walking group from another campsite, as they were going to be walking to The Cross. When I met the group, I heard someone saying that they could walk to The Cross tomorrow. I was gutted, but then they agreed to split the group, with some going to The Cross and others going along the beach front.
It was quite a steep walk and hot (34 degrees), but I made it, and how spectacular the view was from there.
The members of the walking group were all lovely and made me feel so welcome, chatting all the way 😃
While I was gone, Chris cleaned the Motorhome, so it’s now all sparkling for our onward journey.
It was beautiful Jane - you would have loved it x
Love a harbour. And the walk in the heat was worth the lovely views x
