2023/4 Winter Trip - Day 36 - 04/12/2023

We have been in Benidorm for a week now.  It’s been lovely to see familiar faces from our previous visits and to also meet new people.

Setting up on our pitch was a challenge, but Chris managed it.  A lot of campsites don’t seem to have a lot of room for Motorhomes to manoeuvre.  This particular site that we are staying on, are making improvements to the roads and kerbs, which makes it look very nice, but makes it even more tight to manoeuvre.

The Motorhome was filthy with all the driving we have done, so Chris got up early the next morning to clean it.  He almost managed to clean it all, before being ‘told off’ for using the hosepipe 🙈

We have had drinks with new people we have met in the site bar, drank and ate in the local bars, checking out the changes since last year, and feel quite settled already.

On Friday, we visited L’Alfas del Pi, where there is a weekly market. We had a little walk around the town and then went for fish and chips at a bar that had been recommended to us.

We then hopped back on the bus and went into Benidorm. The bus service here is great, so cheap at 0.70€ per trip, and most bus stops have a QR code on them, so you can easily check the times of the next buses.

We went into Benidorm to meet friends who were here for the weekend, celebrating one of their birthdays. It was great to see them.

On Saturday, we went to meet our friends again, this time on the sea front - gorgeous weather. The community area was full of people playing chess. We sat and had drinks watching the street entertainers - who were actually very good.

We then made our way to have wine and tapas, It's always so busy in the tapas bar, before walking to 'Balco del Mediterrani' for sangria.

Sunday morning Chris tested out our new 'ridge monkey', making delicious ham and cheese toasties.

Sunday afternoon we met up with everyone again, and went to the West End Showbar - we had such a great time - lots of laughs. Chris is still trying to get rid of the glitter 😂

Well, what a busy week that was - maybe we will chill now 🙈
