With being in Benidorm for the whole of October, I have decided to do the blogs week by week as we plan on chilling and won’t have a lot to write about 😊

Our 4th week back in Benidorm, staying on Arena Blanca - can’t believe how quickly our time here is going !

On Wednesday 23rd, I went to aqua aerobics with Iris. Her son and his family had surprised them by coming on holiday sooner that they had expected them to and they had a lovely surprise when they just turned up this morning. Both Iris and John were all smiles 😁.

After aqua aerobics, Chris and I had a walk to the town, and we happened to see some fish and chips being served on the way. We both did a double take and agreed to stop for some ourselves. They were delicious 😋.

A couple sat beside us and started chatting, and we ended up having a couple of drinks with them while we listened to their story - I think it’s amazing how much people open up to us having only just met us.

They then left and we made our way to the beach front, where we saw John and Iris with their family, and ended up joining them for a drink too 🙈.

Afterwards we all started to head back towards our campsite, and out if nowhere, the heavens opened - when it rains here, it really does come down in buckets. We took shelter in a pub, as you do, and then carried on once the rain stopped, and had a lovely meal in a restaurant close to the campsite.

It is good not to have plans and to just go with the flow meeting new people along the way.

On Thursday 24th, we went to Albir in the evening with Steve and Bernadette (the couple we met in Barcelona and then travelled with them to Benidorm in September). They had seen that was a band playing in one of the bars there. However it was more of an eating place with the band as backing music, not at all what we had expected. So, we walked to the Irish Bar, The Church, where they were having a Jam Session. This week happened to be the first Anniversary of the Jam Sessions and we received a glass of bubbly as we arrived - a lovely gesture 🥂

On Friday 25th, we took the bus to the market in Alfaz and had a slow walk around, before enjoying a bacon butty with a coffee.

Later that day we headed into the town and managed to capture the sun going down.

On Saturday 26th, we had our last visit to the flea market where we saw interesting ceiling lights made out of records !

They had different dancers on today - much more entertaining than others we have seen.

On Monday 28th we went for a walk to the beach front and watched the sea - so mesmerising, I love it !

Our gas finally ran out. We had managed to get 3/4 extra days out of it from when it registered empty. We went off site and filled up with gas and fuel, doing a bit of shopping while we were out. We should be all set for when we leave this campsite on Friday now !
