The stopover was managed by a sports centre, which was closed when we arrived last night, so we went to pay and use their showers this morning. It was very strange to be using communal showers - took me back to my school days, when we were forced to have showers with everyone else, and all we ended up doing, was running in one door and then out of the other as quick as we could 🙈
We then went to walk up to the castle, climbing many steps. When we got to the top, the gates were locked, and another Spanish family were there who had made the trip especially. They rang tourist information as it was meant to be open, to be told that we were at the right place, but the entrance was under construction and they were a little behind with the timing.

Never mind, we still managed to capture the stunning views from there.
We came down via a different route through the tiny streets. It looked like a very religious place, looking at the plaques they had outside their houses.
One thing that we have seen previously, was bottles of water on their doorsteps. I’m not sure why they were there, in the sun too, but I must ask someone to find out.
We then made our way back to the Motorhome for a cuppa, had a quick chat with the Irish sisters, said our goodbyes and then headed off towards Betera near to Valencia.
This time, there were no British on the site, but lots of Spanish. We were given a voucher for a free glass of Sangria each at the bar, and checked out what was on the menu while we were there. We had just about made our minds up, when an English Bull Terrior got away from it’s owner, and took hold of the Chef’s cat. It seemed to take quite some time to get the dog to release the cat. It was horrible, we immediately drank up and left !
Luckily we had some food in to have our own BBQ

It was just random, but managed to catch it on camera as we drove by. What a great motorbike that was in the town x
