Day 91 - 29/07/19 - Benidorm, Spain

The manager left the morning duties to the usual waiters today. Everything went smoothly and everyone was happy 😎

Another fun day by the pool - a bit scary on the slides though as Izzy pushes so hard on the sides to make us go faster, but then I end up going up the sides and think I’m going to go over them - I scream and she laughs her head off - I’m so loving having this time with her, Ash and Kirsty 🥰

We had an early meal this evening and then caught the bus to the “Double Dutch” bar near to the campsite we were on previously. I suggested walking, but no one trusted my timings after the walk to the circus 🤣

We met John and Iris in the pub - our neighbours from the last campsite. They have a dog called Ruby and Izzy loves all animals and especially enjoyed feeding Ruby treats and holding her lead, even sitting under the table with her to give her a stroke. She also loved chatting to John and Iris.

As the evening entertainment started, Nick the compare, called Izzy up and began to blow up a balloon for her - after a few jokes with the balloon, he eventually made her a dog. We got the impression it was the only thing he could make, as she actually asked for a cat 😂

We had a card bingo game and then a music quiz, and even though we did really well with extra help from Ash and Kirsty, we didn’t win at either. Next, was the horse/dog/pig racing. Iris asked Izzy to pick a number for her and she won !!!

We then had a higher/lower game re wealth of people in relation to Kylie - we came either 4th or 5th in that, but you then have to win at “Play your cards right” before you actually win overall. Everyone above us lost at that, so we sent Izzy to play for us - everyone was cheering her on and helping out, and she guessed right and won ! The prize is usually a bottle of fizzy wine, but tonight they had an extra special prize instead. A chap was there who makes pebble pictures and had collected pebbles from the beach this morning and made a picture. Izzy won the picture - it was beautiful and so kind of them to give it away as a prize tonight.

Izzy had brought her colouring book with her and coloured a picture to give to Nick for making her the balloon dog. She then coloured pictures for Iris and John and then her mum (Kirsty) - she really has a kind heart.

The evening ended with Nick on karaoke and everyone joining in - such a great night.

As everyone started to leave, Nick came over to say thank you to Izzy for the picture she had coloured in for him, and had a cuddle from Izzy - I think he had 2 in the end (not that I get jealous, but even I don’t get cuddles - that’s why I hold on to her so tight on the slides - I sneak my cuddles in then 🥰).

We left to catch the bus back and John and Iris made their way back to the campsite, and guess what, Izzy gave more cuddles 🤔- at least she chose to sit beside me on the bus 😁
