We had to take the Motorhome off site today to get the gas filled up - we hadn’t anticipated being in one place for so long, so hadn’t filled up before we arrived. Before we could go though, we needed to tape up some insulation that had come down underneath the van.
Chris put the ramps behind the back wheels and asked to me watch him driving up them - I did watch him and shout STOP at the appropriate time, as I always do, and as Chris always does, he totally ignored me, and ended up driving straight over the ramps - one of these days he will listen to me - no idea when 🙄
We filled up with gas and called into an Aldi to stock up on the basics - everything is so cheap here, just a shame we have limited storage space.
On the way to the site, we went to have a look at Albir, as I had seen signs for the beach there, and we didn’t get to see it when we were there on Sunday. The town was much bigger and busier today and the beach was just beautiful - we definitely need to go back before we leave the area.
We then headed back to the campsite and Chris used his phone to get there - we were surprised that we weren’t being directed back to the main roads, but carried on. It wasn’t until we were being directed to turn right into a tiny dirt track that Chris pulled over and checked his settings - he was on ‘walk’ and not ‘drive’ - never mind, I think he was getting withdrawal symptoms of not driving on the narrow roads !
We made it back in one piece, and had a BBQ for dinner, it’s been a while, and was lovely.

We chilled again all afternoon (such a hard life we are having !), and then headed out for a drink in the evening at a local bar. They were just about to start a music quiz as we arrived, and our neighbours were walking past heading back to their Motorhome, so we asked them to join us. They had already had a few drinks and they ended up getting merrily drunk quite quickly - we had a great evening.
Another neighbour of ours offered Chris an air conditioning unit, so we thought we would try it out before committing to anything. It was good and a great bargain, but was really too bulky and heavy to carry around with us - I think Chris should look to design a compact and light air conditioning unit - if this is actually possible - if so, you read about it here first!
It does doesn’t it 🥰 xxx
Albir looks lovely x
