This morning we had rain - oh it was so good to see - it came down heavy, but unfortunately didn’t really cool the air down like it would back home - the Motorhome is filthy now though as the rain covered everything in a film of dust.

After the rain cleared, we went to the Old Town as our friends were gong to be drinking there today. We caught up with them looking so so tired and really not enjoying drinking more alcohol 🤣

We had a couple of drinks with them, and then they were making their way back to their hotel, so we stayed and had a wander around the Old Town. When we came to Benidorm in January we didn’t see very much at all, and we were really surprised at how big it is. We went to the beach front, and then climbed the steps to the viewing point. We could get to the top, but where we had walked out further in January, it was all fenced off (much to Chris’ delight, although he chose not to do that part in January, so he certainly wasn’t going to do it today, especially in this heat !).

We had heard that you could get medication easily in Spain, so thought we’d have a look to save the hassle of having to have it sent out to us from home. We couldn’t believe how easy it was, we showed the chemist what tablets we were on, and they happily supplied us with as many months as we needed - so much cheaper than the prescription prices back home.

We then made our way back towards the campsite, and passed a pub looking very lively, so we stopped for a beer. We joined in the music quiz - we had missed the start, but they couldn’t stop us from singing along. One foreign couple on the table next to us were really impressed with Chris’ singing, especially singing to Barry White, and they told him so in the best sign language we could both understand 👏

Another couple sat by us, as we played pig, dog and horse racing. They are on another campsite close by and love it here, but this was the first time in this pub - looked like they enjoyed themselves - I think they will be back (especially if they see us in there / we seem to attract lots of people from all walks of life 😊).

And then, another couple to the other side of us, came and said how much he would have paid for tonight’s entertainment - referring to a large group who had recently arrived in the pub. They were all having such a great time, obviously hammered, but all harmless - just like the couple said, they were very entertaining.

The last game we played was a kind of bingo with a set of 5 cards given to us. Every time a card was called, we cheered whether we had it or not - just to wind one up particular chap from the large group - he took it in good spirit though, and I am amazed to say that Chris won - so we had a bottle of bubbly to take home - it was too late to open it in there as they were closing.

On the way back, a couple on mobility scooters came speeding up behind us, peeping loudly, and as they whizzed passed, we recognised them from the pub - they won quite a bit that night. Couldn’t believe it when they turned into our site - small world !

If you ask Chris nicely, I’m sure he’ll sing for you for free 🥰 x

Love the rain cloud foto. I would also pay good money to hear Chris singing along to Barry White. What great fun you are having x
