Before we left Almazan, I took a photo of the elder flowers that attracted so much attention last night, and a group of tiny poppies !
In the middle of Spain, there really aren’t many places to stop over, so we didn’t have a lot of choice but to drive on for a few hours today, to get to a camp site in Albarracín.
During the drive there, the roads were empty once again, and the scenery continued to amaze us. Some areas were so lush and green, others quite barren, quite a contrast. We passed through a couple of “built up” areas, but you really couldn’t tell if people lived there or not !
We then got close to Albarracín, and turned right off the main road. We were then faced with such a small single track road, and with the town still about 11k away, we were really hoping that we were going the right way - luckily we were !
Albarracín is a small town with medieval walls. It was quite busy when we arrived - I wondered which route everyone had taken to get here, because we hardly saw any cars on our journey - there were also a couple of coaches - the drivers must love all the narrow widening roads !
We managed to park up and had a walk around - such a beautiful place, with steep paths to the top - so picturesque.
The campsite we were heading for was only another 1 km away - very well hidden, and overlooking the town. Much to our delight, there were so many English on the site, and it was lovely to chat with them over a few beers. For some, it had been their first trip away, and for others they had been travelling abroad in their caravan for many years, so lots of knowledge and experiences to listen to and share.
We then made our way back to the Motorhome and watched the sun go down !

I’m glad you had the chance to practise your English haha x
Thank Ruedi, I do wonder if people would be bored with them - glad you enjoy joining us on our travels
What a good idea to take so many shots of your journey! They make as believe to travel with you. Thanks for that, Diane and Chris! Always have a safe ride!
