We stayed another night in Cabarceno so we could hopefully get to see the elephants - and we weren’t disappointed !

First though, I have been suffering with an irritating cough for the last few days. We had struggled to buy squash since being away, and finally managed to get a bottle of lemon. It wasn’t quite what we expected, but went well with honey - so, what could be better to help my throat and make use of the awful tasting squash !

We had brought some kebabs on the way here and cooked them today - well, they weren’t what we expected either - very strange texture and taste - I think we’ll stick to what we know in future.

After lunch, we went for a walk - Chris first fed the ducks, and then we headed off for a walk. I saved my ‘viewing point’ for the elephants until last. It was quite misty in the distance, but still beautiful views and an unusual flower that Chris spotted.

The goats came to have a good look at us, and then the horses. First horse we’ve seen with a cow bell !

We managed to see the elephants at the beginning of our walk, and then by the time we got to our viewing point, they had moved there, which was great. I could watch them for ages, as they gracefully make their way around the park, and the young playing - I just find them fascinating !

Back to the Motorhome - the last photo from here, before we head off in the morning.

My cough is just irritating now - the elephants reminded me when we went to Kenya for our 25th wedding anniversary- I would love to go back there x
