Day 210 - 25/11/19 - Santiago & Guitiriz, Spain

We made our way to Santiago, hoping the rain would stay off today. We arrived at the identified motorhome parking area, but couldn't find the entrance, and there was just one coach on it. We saw other motorhomes on a car park next door, so we found our way around to that one, and parked up. This was free, so a bonus for us.

We then took a bus into the town costing €1 each - another bargain. I asked the bus driver if she could tell us where to get off to see the cathedral, and she said "in Spanish" - I thought, well no, in English please otherwise I won't be able to understand you - but then Chris said that I need to ask her in Spanish - so Google translate to the rescue, and all was well.

Unfortunately, the rain came, but we did manage to have a look around and see the cathedral. There was a group of school children there taking part in a presenation of some sort, but we didn't know exactly what it was.

We than had a meal to get out of the rain; meatballs and rice, pork and chips, a glass of wine and a stong coffee to finish with.

We then went back to the motorhome and drove to Guitiriz where we planned to stay for the night. We had seen a free stopover with 4 free electric points, and were lucky enough to be the first ones to arrive, so we enjoyed a free night of electric. It is more important now that we don't have so much sun on the solar panel, to keep the habitational battery charged.

Guitiriz was a lovely little quirky village which we walked around, and finished off with a few beers and free tapas in a local bar.
