As we left Gibraltar, the sea was getting really choppy, and the boats rocked against each other in the marina.
There were a few people who looked like they were sleeping rough in the marina, and it turned out, they were hoping to crew for a boat heading to the Caribean - what an experience !
We headed to Barbate, where we intended to spend the night. We travelled through windmill land, which shows what a windy part of the country this is, and the kite surfers were in their element ! Quite a few wild horses roamed the fields within the windmills.
As we approached Barbate, we were led along the back roads, and I was wondering what we were going to find as a stopover. We certainly were not disappointed, another glorious free spot beside the beach 👌
We had a coffee and sat on the beach wall, chatting to another English couple who had sold up and come travelling too - it would have been nice to have spent longer talking to them, as they seemed such a lovely couple, and I was keen to hear about their journey so far.
We had a stroll along the seafront and a beer at one of the bars, before strolling back to the Motorhome watching the sun go down - just beautiful.
