Chris captured the glorious sunrise this morning.

Today was one of those days where we struggled to find somewhere to head for to stay the night. We first went to have a look at the sea front where we were, in Moncofa, but we weren’t sure whether we would sink in the “muddy” sand at the stopover, and didn’t even dare stop the Motorhome to find out 🙈
We then headed towards a campsite in Xeraco.
We actually drove past the entrance to the site, it was that small - goodness knows how the campers and caravaners managed to manoeuvre into the site never mind a pitch !

Oh well, although we knew we wouldn’t be staying there, we were getting so went to find somewhere to eat. The only place open was a Chinese - good job we love Chinese food 😋
We then had a look at the beach, which was lovely and not a soul in sight !
Our next plan was to head for a campsite in Oliva, so we set off towards there. Luckily when we arrived at the campsite we could go and have a look at the pitches before committing to staying, as these pitches were tiny. So, we thanked them and moved on again, but not before taking a photo of a "fifth-wheel" we saw parked up 🙄
We had seen a pub stopover on the app we use, which is the only one we have seen abroad (most of them are in England) - so we headed there, travelling up the mountains - with more beautiful views.
We arrived at the ‘Victoria Station’ to find a lovely typical English pub / restaurant and had a few beers, and a gin and tonic (a mis-order by someone, and they would have only gone to waste !). Quite a lot of English live in this particular area, which we were surprised about with it being inland. A great night chatting at the bar !
Another beautiful sunset through the pub window.

Stopover information
I didn’t realise you had been there - yes, we aren’t too far from the airport x
Are you near the Alicante airport now x
Ah, we stayed in Oliva many years ago. Remember the man at the bus station correcting me a few times to say ‘oliba’. Spent 4hr on the bus getting there. Lovely walk from our room to the beach. Glad you moved on to find the English on tho
