We left Gavà and headed for a campsite in Cambrils. Chris’ friends had come to Salou for a holiday and we thought it would be nice to meet with them since we were so near.

The journey was along the coast, with winding roads and beautiful views.

The pitches were a little small, so we had to take the bikes off the back to fit in properly. We were going to be using them tomorrow anyway, so it wasn’t a problem. That is, until Chris handed me my bike and the back wheel wouldn’t spin - the wheel was buckled ! I won’t embarrass Chris and say how that had happened 😉

Anyway, we went for a walk and found a lovely Italian restaurant where we had lunch.

We then passed a cycle shop to see if they could repair / replace the wheel, but he couldn’t understand what we were saying. So, we went back to the campsite and Chris took the wheel with him to the shop. He came back with a replacement wheel. However, nothing is that simple is it - the spindle wouldn’t tighten properly. So .... back to the cycle shop - this time with me pushing my bike 🙄

At first the shop keeper couldn’t see what was wrong, but then spotted that there were too many spacers and so be removed one of them and hey presto, the spindle tightened and I could ride my bike again 😃

Managed to capture another beautiful sunset as I walked around the campsite tonight.
