A quiet stopover on the edge of a little French village. It was lovely to hear the church bells chiming on the hour - I do miss them. This morning, lots of children arrived to be collected by several buses to take them to various schools, and a group of relatively old ladies arrived with their yoga mats, going through the sliding metal gates - I should have had a sneaky peak to see what was behind them !

Before heading off, we wrapped up and went for a walk around the village. It was the first day we have felt the cold, requiring many layers, gloves and a hat !

We couldn't leave without a visit to the local boulangerie - I love to see their magnificent displays 😋

After breakfast, we started on our way further north. The roads were quiet today.

We then reached familiar roads as we approached our stopover for the evening. We stayed here on our way south. We had had problems with the habitational batteries draining completely last night, although we weren't really using anything to drain them. We knew this stopover has electric so we could give the batteries a good charge overnight.
