Thankfully, we managed to have a good sleep after yesterday's stressful journey. Today's journey can only be better surely !
We left Huesca and headed north via the Pyrenees. The snow was a surprise, but beautiful. The Spanish gritters were working hard to keep the roads clear, and we did feel safe on their roads.
We then went through the tunnel at Somport and arrived in France. Here the roads hadn't been cleared as well, but the snowploughs were out - such a difference to the driving conditions !
The temperature then increased and the sun came out, more beautiful scenery and back to the decorated roundabouts.
And just like that, the snow came and quite heavy too, covering the roads really quickly. We managed to get through, driving slowly but carefully, and luckily it had stopped by the time we had to turn off onto the side roads to find tonight's stopover.
All in all, not as bad as yesterday's journey, but the various changes in the weather made for interesting driving today 😊
Stopover information
Wow!, you really are speed drivers! Two days to get from Benidorm to Bordeaux in miserable road conditions, that sounds like a record for the books. Please be safe for the upcoming journey to the channel.
