Day 61 - 29/06/19 - Navajas, Spain

Managed to have a lie in while it wasn’t too hot - there’s no chance later in the day for a nap. Had a lazy morning by the Motorhome - it was quiet as the Spanish do tend to go to sleep late at night and get up late in the mornings.

We started to look at where to go next, as we still need a campsite in this heat, and our criteria included; being able to BBQ, shaded pitches, a pool and free WIFI (our sims with Giff Gaff data roaming run out this weekend). We have signed up with Vodafone and our friend will bring them out to us next weekend, so we just need to be able to manage until then. Vodafone have no limits on data roaming, so is an ideal provider for people travelling around Europe, plus they have some really good deals on at the moment.

When they all got up, they headed for the pool - lots of families had arrived yesterday, so we knew the pool would be busy.

Early afternoon, the families started to return to have their lunch, so we spied our chance and headed for the pool. On the way, we stopped off for a long cool beer - the bar / cafe / restaurant was full, it looked like a coach trip had stopped here for lunch. There was no space inside where the air conditioning was, so we grabbed a table outside with a parasol.

We then went to the pool, and it was near enough empty, and we enjoyed our cool off. As with anywhere, you have to be lucky with sun beds, and we have been really lucky so far.

The peaceful time at the pool lasted a couple of hours, and then all the families began to return - we love to people watch, so we really don’t mind how busy it got, and with. It understanding what everyone is saying, we have fun making our own stories up about what is going on !

After the pool, we went into the air conditioned bar for another cold beer. Bav, Helen and Ariya joined us, before they made their way back to their Motorhome to begin to sort everything out as they will be moving on in the morning.

We headed back and had meatballs and pasta and some red wine to go with it !
