The sun woke us this morning - the wind and the rain had gone, thank goodness. After breakfast, we headed to Blaye, back to the land of vineyards !
Today's stopover was on a vineyard itself, which was in a beautful setting - Chateau Marquis de Vauban. It was quite a large chateau, and appeared to be more commercial than we had been expecting, so much so, that we were unable to attend any tasting / tours today or tomorrow as they were fully booked !
We took a walk to the town, where a the market was just closing, but smelt quiye fishy, which is to be expected with it being by the port. The water was so calm, so very different from yesterday with the stormy weather.
What we didn't expect to see, was a Windsor City Sight Seeing bus !

Afterwards we explored the Citadel - Chateau des Rudel - which was quite a surprise in the middle of the town, and covered quite a large area, providing lovely views of the area,
We came back to the motorhome, and chatted to an English couple who we had parked next to, before having an evening meal - no BBQ tonight, unfortunately, as we weren't allowed with being parked in the gardens - never mind, we did have a back-up.
The vineyard was preparing for a dinner / dance for this evening, rearranging the seating in the marquee. Although the tickets had all been sold, we could hear the music, so had free entertainment for the evening. They had been so lucky with the weather, as tonight is a lovely warm evening, where last night, it would have been awful with the wind and rain.
