We woke to the sound of heavy rain - such a contrast from last night. We had a chilled morning, before setting off towards Bordeaux.

The wind was horrendous and quite scary at times particularly with the lorries. In the end, it just got too bad, so we decided to make a stop in Barbezieux-Saint-Hilaire.

The weather stayed windy with heavy downpours and occasional sun. We stayed in the Motorhome and relaxed, which I do find particularly hard, and I do need to get used to it and accept that it’s ok.

I was in touch with a friend of mine yesterday about wishing I had brushed up on my French before we came here. She suggested an app to help, so I worked on that and then continued with my cross stitch.

Hope the wind dies down for tomorrow’s journey.
