Last night we got quite emotional, listening to music and reminiscing. Nine years ago, Chris had 3 slipped discs and was in a wheelchair. That in itself was quite an eye-opener as everyone looked at me with pity and totally ignored Chris. He waited for his operation which had its own added complications, and we had no idea what the future held.

We both admitted to one another how we had felt at that time, how we could ever life without each other - it was horrible - it just reinforces that you really need to do what you can, when you can, as you never know what’s around the corner, and I’m so glad that we are on this journey right now, together.

Anyway, enough of that, this morning I had.a wonder around the little village and brought breakfast as Chris showered.

We then headed west, to an apple farm that we had seen, but felt a little uncomfortable after parking up, so we moved on. We eventually ended up in the lovely little village of Saint-Jean-De-Cole.

We parked up, and had a beer after the long journey and then ventured into the town. It was absolutely beautiful. Only a small village with such quaint streets.

We found a beautiful wine tasting place and communicated the best we could - he had his notes book with useful phrases like “would you like a taste ?”, so we obviously obliged !

To be honest, what we tasted was amazing and we brought a few bottles.

We then went to a French restaurant. We spent a while studying the menu and deciding what to have. We then took a seat, quite excited at our choices, only to be told that we were an hour and a half too early for the evening menu 🙄

We obviously couldn’t wait that long, so moved on, to a lovely little shop that had a bar, and we sat on their balcony with a beer.

We then made our way back to the Motorhome and had a BBQ, end enjoyed the wine we had brought earlier.

We took the opportunity to have a FaceTime chat with our lovely friends Daz and Jackie - how lovely it was to see them and chat with them.
