This morning we moved just to the other side of the bridge to a supermarket to stock up. We then parked up right against the river, and had breakfast- such a beautiful setting.

There were a set of cows in a field nearby that had been uniquely decorated, accompanied by a sign reminding everyone not to ride them !

We then decided to travel south, towards Saint Eloy Les Mines. The weather changed and became quite misty, so we couldn’t really appreciate any views today. The temperature dropped to 10 degrees, we just couldn’t believe the difference from yesterday ! We did stop to take photos of what looked like a bit of a model village being developed, all brightly coloured that attracted our attention.

We arrived at the stopover in Saint Eloy Les Mines, and used the services, but the circus was in town, and their caravans were parked everywhere, so we decided to give that one a miss.

As the weather wasn’t great, we didn’t mind travelling further. We happened on a free stopover in Aubusson, and decided to park up as the rain was now coming down really heavy. Not long after we parked up, quite a few other Motorhomes joined us, obviously had the same idea. I couldn’t get a great photo with the rain, but wanted to capture the Motorhome towing a 2CV - it’s not everyday you see that !

No chance of a BBQ in this weather, so had to cook the meat in the oven. On the plus side, it did help to warm the Motorhome up. We enjoyed our mexican pork washed down with a 3€ 1.5 litre bottle of red wine !

We have been using Searchforsites as our main guide to stopovers and I must say, it has been really helpful, only coming across a couple that didn’t exist. I therefore started to add the stopover information to each day’s blog, and have also categorised each day with the month and country we are in. With it raining this afternoon, I thought I would go one step further and add categories to indicate if the stopover was free or not and if it was a French Passion. Wix allows you to search on each category to make it easier when we look back on this adventure.
