This morning, Chris managed to capture the sun rising - what a beautiful sight, and sign of another glorious day on its way.
The cows returned to the field in front of us, jingling their bells, and the goats were all milked !
We then set off, heading west for a couple of hours to Cissey in Cote-d’Or, with a stop to pick up some fresh french bread.
The roads we were on today were much flatter, with being ‘main’ roads, although there wasn’t really much traffic on these. We did see quite a few Motorhomes though, and gave them a wave, as you do, and also a couple of groups of motorcycles on their Sunday outing, and also some groups of 2CVs
The views were still lovely on the journey with poppy lined roads in some areas. They were fairly straight and it was funny it see a road sign indicating a sharp bend ahead - believe me, these bends are nothing compared to the ones going up and down the mountains ! We also passed through a few small villages, which looked quite pretty.
We arrived at our stopover for the night, a lovely farm with a wine cellar. The facilities were free and there were 2 fridges full of bottles of wine, with an honesty box. They also had a map on the wall where you could place a pin in the place you are from Stoke on Trent was empty, so I placed our pin with pride,
We unwound our canopy and enjoyed breakfast and then relaxed in the sun (me) and the shade (Chris) for the afternoon. We also had a FaceTime chat with Ash, Kirsty and Izzy, which we really look forward to each week.
We ended the evening finishing off the goat’s cheese with crackers and 2 bottle of wine from the honesty fridge.

I can bear it all, apart from the fresh croissants !!
Glad you enjoyed the sunshine over the last couple of days. Such lovely views. Good to put Stoke on the map x
