Today was the day for Port tasting 😋
We got a taxi into the town, direct to one of the Port Wine Cellars. The taxi‘s Sat Nav was worse than ours, taking us down the most narrow streets in Porto. He then seemed to get lost, and had to drive down them for a second time. He just wasn't able to take us where we wanted to go, so in the end we got out and walked !
We climbed the cobbled streets to see 3 of the main cellars.
We then had a wander around streets and seafront, taking in some creative art work as we went.
And then the time came to partake in a litle port tasting. We had a "tasting experince" in a bar, sampling 10yr old Tawny port, White port, Ruby Reserve port and Rose port. Chris preferred the Ruby Reserve and my favourite was the 10yr old Tawny.
We then went of another tasting experience and some tapas !
We then brought a couple of bottles and shared one with John and Iris when we got back to the motorhome - no idea why Chris ended up with my top around his shoulders ....
