We had quite a storm during the night; rain, hail, thunder and lightening, right above us - the electricity in the town went out once, but soon came back on. Luckily we were parked on tarmac, so we had no fear of getting stuck.

Whilst we were in the area, Chris was keen to go and try some port, so we headed towards Porto.

As with most major cities, we had read that it wouldn't be safe to park the motorhome anywhere near, but we managed to find a secure paid parking area not too far away. We were able to plug into electric here, so we gave everything a good charge !

The stopover was in the grounds of the Parque Biologica, and entrance to the Park was included in the stopover charge. We didn't know what to expect, as we entered to Park, but was amazed and spent 3 hours wondering around. At one point, a warden joined us, and did his best to explain the various plants / trees and origins of the animals to us. He tried to coax the deer over, but they weren't having it :-(
