We left Faro, taking another few photos while we waited for our turn to cross the bridge.

We then made our way to Cliff Richard's vineyard - Adega do Cantor, where we had booked onto a tour. It was in a beautiful location, with a grand entrance. The tour was really interesting and was followed by a tasting of 4 of the wines.

We then headed toward Silves where we planned to spend the night.

We arrived at the planned paid stopover, but noticed that other motorhomes were parked free on the adjacent carpark, so we parked there instead !

We took a stroll to the castle, where I had read that there was a great restaurant. We really we not disappointed. Three course meal with drinks for 7.50 euros. There was fish or vegatable soup to start with, and a choice of mains. I opted for a traditional protuguese dish, Francesinha, which is a Portuguese sandwich originally from Porto, made with bread, wet-cured ham, linguiça, fresh sausage like chipolata, steak or roast meat, and covered with melted cheese and a hot thick tomato and beer sauce. It was very tasty ! For desert we had creme caramel - delicious !

Oh, and the waitress took a shine to Chris - can't take him anywhere.

We then walked the meal off having a stroll around the town.
