Chris had seen that there was a brandy place in the village, so we thought we would have a wonder to look before we left. It didn’t look promising as the door was slightly ajar with a chain on - however a lady did come to see who was rattling their door 😃. She spoke a little English and asked if we wanted to look in the shop. We said yes and she let us into a reception area. I noticed that there was a sign about tours, and I pointed to it to see if we could go on one of them. She said, not today as they are out shopping - I think we got the gist !

The village roads were lined with orange trees, with ornate paving stones, drainpipes and roof tops - how beautiful.

Took a last photo of our stopover before moving on.

We then headed for a service area to empty and fill up, but that didn’t seem to exist. We moved on, stopping to do some food shopping on the way.

We then entered Portugal, the 11th country on our journey to date 😊.

We found a place to stay over the night, parked up and went into the village for beer and I introduced Chris to Pastel de nata ( a Portuguese custard tart - delicious 😋).

We then had a walk around and stopped at another bar - everyone is so friendly, making us feel so welcome. We were sat in this second bar when a lady came cycling passed, saying hi to the locals in the bar. Once she had gone, one of the locals, an old lady, stood up to go inside and described what we had just seen using sign language - the lady on the bike had the most enormous boobs and they really were resting on her knees as she cycled by - hilarious 🤣
