We travelled South 30 minutes to Feuchtwangen, where we had found a free motorhome stopover for just 7 motorhomes on the edge of the village. We were lucky in managing to park up in the 1 vacant space left. Even though the parking was free, it was a well maintained stopoever with each pitch being clearly marked out and separated by low hedges.
The village was one of the smallest we had visited and exceptionally quiet. None of the local shops were open today, as it looks like lunchtime closing on a Saturday, and closed all day Sundays. There were some larger shops on the outskirts of the village which were open, one of which was Woolworths. We had a nosey around, and managed to pick up a basket for the front of the bikes (it's hard balancing wine and beer bottles while cycling, they would be much safer in a basket !).

One thing we hadn't seen before was a stork in its nest on the top of a rather high building which used to be the old town hall - that was a first for us ! Good old google informed me that there is actually a live webcam of the stork nest - amazing, and great use of technology to allow others to share in the wonder of nature.
A few photos of some of the lovely typical German buildings.
As the sun was out again today, we had a lazy afternoon chilling, enjoying the hot weather.
