Chris caught the sunrise to today’s frosty start.

As you may have guessed we moved on this morning, not before being stopped from filling up with water, as another chap still had 1€ in the machine, and was carrying water to and from his Motorhome in containers, which looked really heavy to carry, no idea why people prefer this to moving their Motorhome.

Chris then tried to wash the bird poo off my side window and the lovely man from reception waved his hand at him shouting “no, no”. So we just emptied the toilet and said farewell.

We found a lovely stopover a few miles closer to Würzburg, on land owned by a guesthouse. We wanted to visit Würzburg, as it is the start of the Romantic Road. We chose to cycle into town on a cycle path, so we were safe. It was just under 9 mile round trip.

There are vineyards everywhere, with groups of people tending to the vines. Also there masses of rapeseed at the side of the cycle path.

We also passed a lovely wooden carriage, housed in a garden, and looked lived in. What a tranquil way to live.

We soon reached Würzburg, and as we had stopped to admire the view of the river, we were politely asked to move just a little. Someone was there with a large camera, and I thought he wanted photos of us, but no such luck, he was waiting for an electric Kia car to come around the corner as he was creating a commercial.

We then had a walk around the town. We met a German couple from the stopover we stayed at last night. We couldn’t understand each other, but they were happy and surprised to see us again so soon.

Today there was a market in the center of town with lots of lovely fish, fruit and vegetables on display. I couldn’t believe the size of the asparagus- I had to take a photo !

More historic buildings in the town centre and the River Main there too. The locks were the biggest locks I have ever seen, but then I remembered the size of the boats that use the rive

On the way back, we called for a cold beer, as you do.
