We are parked right next to the Rhein, beside a busy road and railway. I slept well, and found out this morning, that this was because Chris was kept awake with the trains (when he sleeps, he snores, and I can’t sleep. I get my best night’s sleep when he doesn‘t lol !).
After breakfast, we had a stroll through the village. The counter at the bakery looked amazing - so tempting.

The village was beautiful, with its cobbled streets and half-timbered buildings. It was very peaceful with a beautiful view around every corner.
We went into a little supermarket, but it must have been close to siesta time, because as we approached the exit, the shop keeper was locking the door, and chuckled when she realised we were still in the shop. Luckily she was happy to unlock the door and let us out !
There are vineyards all around, they are in such steep fields, it must be so hard to work on them. I saw a worker in this vineyard and managed to zoom in to see him checking / fixing the fences.
On the way back through the village, we thought we’d try some local wine, but as we looked at the menu, a german decided he wanted the particular table we were standing by, and he just came and sat down - his wife looked very embarrassed - we decided it best to move on. We thought we’d make our way back to the motorhome and have a drink at the bar we went to yesterday, only to find that it only opens on Sunday’s !
We went back to the Motorhome to chill, and then went back into the village for the evening. We found a lovely place where we chose to partake in some wine tasting and a mixed platter of food. It was all truly amazing, and worth waiting for.
Great food, good wine and pretty architecture - more interesting photos thank you. Glad you had a lovely sunny day ... hope you both have a good night’s sleep 💤 x
