Our journey to Uzès today consisted of pumpkin fields, classic cars, deserted villages, tree lined avenues, wall paintings and crossing the Rhine.
We arrived at the vineyard in Uzès, where there were about 5 vans parked against the vines, what a beautiful place - we then got to the bottom of the drive and there were about a dozen more vans, we’ve never seen so many vans stopover on a vineyard before - luckily we managed to get one of the last places.
We parked up and went to walk to the village. Another beautiful place with a lovely hidden square full of restaurants and musicians playing, it was so busy. We soaked up the atmosphere and then headed back to the vineyard to have a BBQ.
As we approached the parking area, we both nearly walked straight passed our van, as 2 other vans had squeezed in next to us. And when I say squeezed, we couldn’t even open the passenger or the habitational door !
They owners of the vans were in front of their vans chatting away, and never said a word. Fortunately, the owners of the van on the other side of us were much more considerate and told us to move our van closer to theirs as their habitational door was on the other side. We don’t understand why people park so close to each other 🙄
Anyway, we managed to move over enough to be able to get the BBQ out.
