As we had arrived in the dark last night, it was such a surprise to see that we were actually surrounded by vineyards with the most amazing views 😁

We had a walk around the village - it was tiny, but lovely, the type of villages we have come to love on this journey.

We saw signs of a walk to ā€œMadonna Della Coronaā€. We found the path, and I decided to head on up it to see what I could find. Chris waited patiently at the bottom.

The path consisted of pebbles/rocks and very high steps. I made it to a cross and looked out at the amazing views.

I then carried on up the path, thinking that I should be near to the church by now. I met a few people coming down, and eventually found someone who I could speak with, and asked them how much further the church was. I had already been walking for 45 mins and they told me that it was another hour ! I really wasn’t suitably dressed for this climb and had no water with me, so I had to return without making it to the top. I had managed to climb over 250m though in my sandals, denim shorts and top 😊
