Day 131 - 07/09/19 Slovenia & Wemberg, Austria

We said goodbyes to the Willy Hotel and continued our journey north.

We headed for Austria, and as Slovenia was nearby, we planned our journey to go through there. Our journey took us up into the mountains.

Having passed through the border into Slovenia, we then dropped down the other side of the mountain, continuing with the narrow winding, rough roads, but saw beautiful scenery with other mountains in the distance, and the quaint ski resorts.

The road then took us back into Italy.

We didn’t use the toll road, but could see it high up on stilts - I don’t think Chris would have enjoyed going along that part !

We eventually reached Austria as the heavens opened, not quite what we had expected. There were so many motorbikes in the road today - all in their high viz jackets.

We found a free Motorhome pub stopover in Wernberg. We managed to get the last Motorhome parking space, and obviously got there at the right time, as so many more arrived arrived us unable to park.

We went into the pub and had a meal of pork, turkey and bacon with a beer.
