Day 125 - 01/09/19 - Fusina, Italy

Whilst the site was great for families, it wasn’t really what we were looking for on our journey.

We had planned to go back over to Venice, and whilst this campsite advertised a cheaper ferry, they hadn’t advertised that you need to catch a bus (30 minute ride) to get to the ferry and this cost more than the ferry itself 🙄

We decided to go back to the campsite in Fusina and try to get a pitch right on the edge of the Lagoon. The view from this pitch is amazing, you can see right over to Venice.

We had a lazy day watching the various boats come in and out of the Lagoon. Chris has found a boat tracking app, to go along with his aeroplane tracking app, so he can now see all information about the various planes flying in and out of Venice and the boats coming in and out of the Lagoon / Port !

During the late afternoon, a friend of Chris’ posted on Facebook a photo of him in a gondola. It turns out that he is on a cruise and currently moored in Venice. We could actually see his boat from our pitch, and as we heard the pilot sound his horn at 7:30pm, we watched as his boat left the port of Venice !
