Day 116 - 23/08/19 - Serravalle, Italy

We left Mombaracaro and headed for Ovado, to a stopover that was described as being by the river next to a lovely village.

We arrived at Ovado, and the stopover was next to a river, but you couldn’t actually see it or sit beside it as we had anticipated. Anyway, we parked up and had a look around. Nowhere was open, as we have come to expect during the early afternoon, and we couldn’t even get something to eat !

We went back to Motorhome and had a look at the map as to where we wanted to head for next. The idea is that we will make our way to Pisa, but we were struggling to find any free / cheap places to stay on the way. We ended up travelling to Serravalle.

It was a retail park, free to park and stay overnight, and even had a security guard checking up on everyone on his golf cart, so felt very safe !

There were quite a few Motorhomes when we arrived, but also a lot of turnover during the evening.

We had a walk around, we’re not really into shopping, but went to find somewhere to eat. We ended up having Chinese, and then the most delicious pistachio ice cream afterwards 😋
