We left Saint-Bonnet-en-Champsaur and took a last couple of photos of the mountains behind the stopover.

We then went on our way, hoping to go over the border into Italy today.

We reached Chorges, where there was an enormous market, so we stopped to have a look around. As Chris got out of the Motorhome, he noticed that the cap for the water filling tank was missing, and realised he must have left it back at the stopover when he filled up this morning.

We had a walk around the market and then thought we may as well head back, as we were not sure where we could get a replacement one from.

We arrived back, but it wasn’t there, and no one had handed it in at the swim pool. Not sure why anyone would have taken it, as you need a key to lock it into place - never mind - Brian Heaps, can you bring us a replacement over 😉!

We then retraced our steps back to Chorges, and then continued on with our planned journey - good job that the views were amazing , having passed them 4 times now 🤣

Amongst the beautiful views, we spotted Lac de Serre-Poncon, it was so blue, and went on for miles.

We crossed the border into Italy, going up and down the mountains. We were at 1800m, before dropping right back down, and then back up to 2048m, which was where we parked up for the night in the ski resort of Sestriere.

The temperature had dropped, and I had to change our of my flip flops into trainers, and take a hoodie with me as we walked down to the village, taking in the wooden displays and then having our first pizzas in Italy; one with wild boar salami, and the other with deer salami !
