We couldn’t leave Thueyts without going to the viewpoint that we had seen signposted. We’re so glad we did - it overlooked a river with a little beach, and to the other side we could see people who first went on a zip wire, then crossed a rope bridge and finally were climbing down the rocks on the other side of the river - I’d love to have had a go of that !
A Friday, treat if we have phone service, is to listen to Charlotte on her 11-1 radio show on 6 Towns Radio. As we were making our way to Visan, we managed to listen to the first half an hour of her show today, before we lost her, as we were in the mountains ☹️. However, luckily she gave us a mention in that time, which was great to hear. Thank you Charlotte 😘
When we arrived in Visan, and had a look around the village,
We then went for lunch. They said they only had the fish left, we said that was fine. What they forgot to mention were the snails 🐌- none of us were brave enough to try them 🤢!
After lunch, we made our way to a vineyard nearby, where we had planned to park up for the night, and admired the beautiful views.
We had arranged a wine tasting for 6pm. It had advertised as English speaking, but it wasn’t the case, so we read the English information that he presented to us, as we tasted the wine, and he quickly brushed off our questions about the actual vineyard and their processes. Luckily it was all on their website for us to read ourselves. They had a lovely chandelier made of wine glasses which caught my eye while we were tasting the wine.

We brought some wine, and a walk through the vineyard, and then watched the sun go down.
