We had a lazy morning alone on the stopover, eating sausage from the onsite butchers, and eggs. We had 3 different types of sausages and they were all very tasty 😋 - I had half eaten them before I thought about taking a photo
During the early afternoon, 3 Motorhomes arrived. They were together, used the corn farm as a toilet, and let their vicious dog roam freely and fight with the stopover owner’s dog. We didn’t really feel like staying another night with them here. They may have been absolutely fine, but once we get an uncomfortable feeling, then we find it’s best to move on.
We made our way to a stopover in Thuryts.
The stopover was quite busy, but we managed to squeeze in an end spot. We headed out for something to eat, but what we thought was the only restaurant nearby, wasn’t serving food for another hour and a half. The chef explained, in French, to go further down the road. He mentioned a name, but then used the word ‘crap’ - not sure what it means in French, but in English it didn’t fill us with confidence 🤣
We walked further down the road, and came upon a large square with loads of shops, bars and restaurants. We had a walk around the area surrounding the square, before finding somewhere to eat.
We ended up with pizza and Belgium beer - Chris didn’t seem to get what he had ordered, I assume with the language barrier, but not too sure as we pointed to what we wanted. Anyway, he enjoyed it just the same 🍕
