Well, today we made our way to France to start our adventure. Our journey began in Camberley just after lunch, where we had stayed overnight at my sister’s (Jane), it was lovely to see her and Alan, before we left England for a while. It was also lucky to be able to use their loo as I needed quite a few visits, maybe due to the excitement and trepidation (sorry about that Jane 🙈 )
It was our first experience on the Eurotunnel Le Shuttle, and didn’t really know what to expect. We arrived in plenty of time and managed to get on an earlier train as it was quiet. It was strange as we sat and watched the cars drive off the train, and then we drove on. The doors closed and 45 mins later, they opened the doors and off we drove in France.
We decided to head towards the Dunkirk area, and found an Aire in Bergues, which had lots of good reviews and spaces for about 50 Motorhomes. Not many here when we arrived, but more joined us as the evening went on.
We were greeted by 2 friendly ducks who had a little food from Chris.
Just picked your blog up. Wish you every success for your trip. Will read with great interest as we do with all the blogs we are signed up to. A little bit envious of you guys. We live in SW France and have an Adria Coral Axcess but cannot agree to go full timing.......yet! Enjoy, Enjoy, Enjoy.
Great start to your adventure. Glad you had a lovely welcome 🦆🦆 x
