2023/4 Winter Trip - Day 13 - 11/11/2023

There were quite a few people walking past chatting late last night, which looked like a well used route through from the residential area, but we did manage to get to sleep, and had quite a good night's sleep actually.

We left Olhai and headed a short distance along the coast to Tavira.

Although this place is classed as an aire and not a campsite, you are allowed to 'camp' i.e. you can have your chairs out and windows open - lots of aires allow parking, but not camping. It was a welcome stopover with the temperature increasing. We set up, had a beer and listened to the chap playing his accordion 😊

When it started to get a little cooler, we had a walk to see what we could find. It seemed more residential than touristy. However we managed to find a bar and spoke to a chap who said that this is the 'east side', with fewer but cheaper bars, and over the river is the 'west side', where there is more going on. We'll have to explore that area tomorrow.
