We both had an amazing sleep, probably helped by the drinks we had last night - we are such light weights these days.
At 6:30am we heard vehicles, and to our surprise there were a queue of cars with their boats, bringing them to be cleaned.
Chris went to take photos and caught the sun rising too.
We had a little walk along the path at the end of the stopover, and said good morning to an old lady walking there. She must have been impressed with our Spanish, as she immediately replied and tried to have a conversation with us. We had no idea what she said but from her body language, she was telling us she was cold today !
We walked back to the Motorhome and saw that several ladies were there cleaning the area - we are impressed at how clean everywhere is kept over here.
We filled up with water and emptied the waste, then headed towards Fátima. I’m not sure of the route Eric was taking as it was so very different to the one on our sat nav, but since we agreed to follow him, we did just that. Well, it was a journey and a half - up and over mountains, down narrow lanes and over a narrow bridge that was being repaired. The views were lovely but the roads not so 🙈.
We eventually arrived in Fatima and parked up at another free stopover. We were right by the amazing church, and went to have a look around. The area is stunning.
In the evening, we went back to the main service area, where hundreds of people gathered, and took part in the candlelight procession - quite spectacular to see.
