Leaving Work

It was with mixed feelings that I left work.  I was lucky enough to enjoy my job and the people I worked with.  There were lots of exciting projects on the go, which I would have liked to be involved in and see through.  However, this was not going to happen, as our personal dream was getting closer to reality, and it was time for me to leave.

On 31/03/19, I said goodbye to my colleagues and I was genuinely sad to leave them.  I was amazed at all the kind words, lovely cards and gifts that I received.  I was so unaware that people did think a lot of me, as I had always kept my head down and got on with my work.

Thankfully, during my last few weeks, I began to lighten up at work and my fun side came through, and everyone began to see the “real” me, which I had kept for my life outside work. I think it’s fair to say that I was right to keep it professional at work !
